Honeypreet Ram Rahim to appear on court today; Police will seek remand

Police had been searching for 38 days of Honeypreet, accused of provoking sedition and violence. Police in seven provinces and two countries were engaged in search of Honeypreet. This adopted daughter of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who was being punished for misbehaving with two Sadhvi, Hanipreet alias Priyanka Taneja was successful in dodging all the agencies for 38 days. After coming to Aaj Tak, Honeypreet was finally arrested by the police. Honeypreet was arrested by the Mohali police in Punjab from the Girpur-Patiala road in Punjab and handed over to Panchkula Police in Haryana. After the arrest, Honeypreet has revealed that in the meanwhile, he was hiding a long time in Bathinda for a female supporter of a dera.

After arresting, the women police officers in the Chandimandir police station questioned Hanifreet for about an hour. Aaj Tak has received a video of Honeypreet during interrogation, although no one's voice in the video is coming. Panchkula Police Commissioner AS Chawla said that during the interrogation, Honeypreet has not made any big disclosures on Tuesday. Although he definitely did say that a female supporter of a daughter-in-law Sukhdeed had hidden him in Bathinda. Chawla said that on Wednesday, Honeypreet will be presented in the court.

Chawla said to Aaj Tak, "Senior lady police officers interrogated Honeypreet, though he (Honeypreet) did not say much, will be questioned further by Honeypreet, and we will seek Honeypreet's custody from the court."

At the same time, the police chief himself is surprised that Honeypreet kept himself hidden for so many days while staying in Punjab. Even with Raj Hanipreet in the car, Sukhadip, riding in the car, opened itself. Sukhdeep has also been taken into custody.

Police Commissioner Chawla said that Sukhdeep told that Honeypreet was with him for the last few days. Earlier, till September 2, Honeypreet was hiding in Gorsar Modia of Rajasthan.

It is noteworthy that a few days ago, Honeypreet had filed a petition for anticipatory bail in the Delhi High Court, which the court had advised to surrender while rejecting it. After this, Honeypreet was preparing to surrender in the Punjab-Haryana High Court.
Even before the arrest, in the interview given to Aaj Tak, though Honeypreet himself described himself as innocent. Honeypreet claimed that after the arrest of Ram Rahim, after the violence in Panchkula, he was not in Panchkula.
