1.5 million untrained teachers enrolled in HRD curriculum

About 1.5 lakh untrained teachers have been nominated for the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry of Training course. Of these, more than 10 lakh untrained teachers belong to private schools. Untrained
This is the last chance for the teachers to get training to save the job. Most of the untested teachers in Bihar have submitted the application. 2.8 lakh from Bihar, 1.95 lakh from Uttar Pradesh, 1.91 lakh from Madhya Pradesh, 1.69 lakh from West Bengal and 1.51 lakh teachers from Assam have submitted applications. The number of those who hand over the application for the course from Delhi is 1018. National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has prepared a Diploma in Primary Education (DLAP) for the training of untrained teachers in the service. The HRD Ministry had earlier announced the time till 2019 to qualify.
