Atheists with the “Freedom From Religion Foundation” (FFRF) and “Citizens for Reponsibility and Ethics in Washington” (CREW) are attacking President Trump and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson for holding a Bible study during a weekly meeting.
According to CBN News, the meeting was between Trump’s Cabinet Secretaries and included Attorney General Jeff Sessions, CIA Director Mike Pompeo, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and Energy Secretary Rick Perry
“I believe, We are blessed to have a circle of faith. Where look outside of ourselves and adhere to the principles and power of faith that made America great.”
Now, the left-wing advocacy group reported on the Bible study after obtaining the information in a Freedom of Information Act request earlier this year.
Because the FOIA requests were not in the public interest, FFRF and CREW were charged a fee for the gathering of the information. The groups are now suing to get those funds back and attacking Trump and Carson in the process.
Ben Carson, a very devout Christian had these stunning words to say to the attacks.
“I refuse to be intimidated by anti-religious groups into relinquishing my spirituality or religious beliefs. One of the principles of our nation‘s founding is freedom of religion. I will not stop being a Christian while in service to this country, in fact, it is my faith that helps me serve the nation even better.”
Carson’s Facebook post was like by over 35,000 people who aren’t ashamed to have GOD back in the White House!
Dr. Carson, like many Christians in this nation, truly believes in the power of prayer and feels that it helps him perform his job better when God is in the room.
