Bihar: Will not get equal pay for same work, SC will go for government

Patna [State Bureau] The Bihar Government will challenge the decision of the Patna High Court to pay the salary equal to the government teachers for the same work as employed teachers on contract. Principal Secretary to Education RK Mahajan took this decision after the meeting of departmental officers. Due to this, four lakh teachers of the state may have to wait for the same work and equal facilities.
Sources of Education Department said that during the meeting, Mahajan discussed the court's decision. During this, it was also discussed that if the employed teachers were given equal work facilities then the additional amount of about 16 thousand crores would be borne by the government's treasury. However, the budget for education of the state government is only 25 thousand crores. After all the assessments, the government decided to appeal in the Supreme Court against the decision.
Meanwhile, the Secondary Teachers Association said that the state government was playing with the interest of the teachers. The union will not be silent against it. That will also be the Supreme Court. On behalf of the Sangh, Secretary General Shatrughan Prasad Singh said that if the government does not provide the same facility for the same work, statewide agitation will also be done.

On the other hand, Education Minister Krishanandan Prasad Verma said that the copy of the High Court's decision will be studied. After this, the government will reach a concrete conclusion. If required, then the government will appeal in the Supreme Court.
