The teacher's eligibility in these schools was two-year-old BTC training. Candidates for the training were selected on the basis of entrance test. Things were three decades ago that BTC training was considered to be a job guarantee. The reason behind this was that the number of teachers retired per year was high, whereas the trained candidates were less. For the first time BED trained candidates were given the path of recruitment through specific BTCs in 1998. After this two teachers were appointed from the special BTC. A decade ago, the start of the recognition of private colleges has continued.
TET started with TET: In the year 2011, for the first time in the primary schools, the TET examination was conducted and for this, BEd degree holders were considered eligible. After this, the government made Beed compulsory in BTC training and high school teachers' eligibility examination in the qualification of teacher qualification examination to be taken for the recruitment of teachers in primary schools. The commissioning of commission on the lines of secondary for teacher recruitment in basic schools was going on for last five years, but this effort could not be reached.
Teacher recruitment from the entrance examination now: Format for entrance examination for teacher recruitment has been prepared by the State Educational Research and Training Council.
