The PMO has given clear instructions to all the ministries that they will now come out with only such schemes, which mention the possibility of new employment. The Cabinet Secretary gave information to all the secretaries about this instruction of the PMO. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley also indicated that the government can declare a relief package to accelerate the economy.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, who went on an American visit, attacked the Modi government and said that he is not able to employ people. The signal is clear that the opposition is going to make it a big issue. Organizations affiliated with NDA allies and National Self-Service Organization have also given feedback to the government that dissatisfaction with the public is due to lack of employment.
