5G internet will start in India by 2020,Government created committee.

The government today constituted a high level 5G committee. The Committee has been given the responsibility of setting up the framework for implementing the technology by 2020. This information was given by Minister of State for Communications Manoj Sinha on Tuesday.

Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha said, "We have constituted a high level 5G committee, which will work on the 5G approach, mission and goals." When the 5G technology will be implemented in the world in 2020, I am confident that India will stand with them.

According to officials, the government is working on extending a budget of Rs 500 crore for activities related to 5G. This work will be mainly from research and product development. Under the 5G technology, the government aims to provide 10,000 megabytes per second MBPS in urban areas and 1000 MBPS in rural areas.

This committee comprises the Secretary of the Department of Telecommunications, Electronics and IT and the Department of Science and Technology.

Earlier, news was that the government company BSNL and Airtel are preparing to upgrade their existing network to Nokia 5G.

Finnish company Nokia signed several MoUs for the launch of 5G network with Airtel and BSNL. They are related to planning from commercial launch to planning.

India's Head of Nokia has told ET, "This MoU is about to start 5G here. Telecom companies should complete 5G Network Strategy in the country, so the necessary steps associated with this and the applications to be made in this segment are being identified.

At the moment, 5G networks are under planning, this technology can take up to three years for commercial launch. That is, its trial can be started in 2019-20.
